Meet the Furbaby: Brian

November 13, 2020November 12, 20202 Comments

As I'm on a mini-break post-wedding, I thought I'd share a little bit of a silly post and introduce you to my fur baby, Brian Karnovski Bumstein Pastafazoola, or just Brian for short. She is an absolute spoilt little princess who went from a strong, independent, tortoise-shell kitty to a complete sook and a half. … Continue reading Meet the Furbaby: Brian

The best part about summer is discovering new wonderful places to have adventures. One quiet Wednesday we drove into the hills and found an isolated swimming hole surrounded by beautiful bushland. The water was so calm, clear and cool. It's always such a precious thing to be out and deep in the heart of the beautiful outdoors. As much as I love the beach and the pool, a secret fresh water swimming hole in the mountains is hard to beat.
Today somehow felt like Monday all over again. I was productive for a few hours but then, you know, migraine.
Summertime; sunshine, straw hats and peaches. I went on a cute peach picking adventure a little while ago in preparation of today's blog and video release. Link in bio 🍑
And just like that, the weekend is over. I spent mine with a migraine but it's just made me more determined to have a productive week.
After two days of migraines, it's time to just unwind, have a shower and go to bed early for once.
I feel very blessed that every morning and ever night this fluffy baby comes up for snuggles and cuddles.
I know one day I'll look back and think, "remember when we had to wear masks? Wild times!".
Although we only had to wear masks for two weeks, it was still a chance to get overdressed and be as glamorous as possible. I had just finished sewing this dress when we entered lockdown so whipping up a matching mask wasn't a big task. This is my first attempt at the Gertie Butterick b6380 pattern in @gertie18 fabric. I'm pretty happy with it but I think next time I might adjust the bust a bit more.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and a great start to your week. I'm straight back into another hectic week but it's all going to be fine. I don't often share much of my personal life but since love is still in the air, here's a cute picture of myself and my hubby. He let's me be a goofball, he laughs at my silly jokes. He let's me cry when I'm sad and holds me tight to let me know it's going to be OK. He's my best friend, my partner in crime and the love of my life. He also makes me tea every morning which is his biggest plus. Hopefully early next week I'll be able to share our wedding photos so sorry about the spam in advance.
Happy Valentine's Day lovers.
