February 12, 2021February 11, 2021Leave a comment

It's about to be my first Valentine's Day as a married lady so I've been scouring the internet for a super cute true vintage card for my new hubby. As it goes with most web surfing, I ended up somewhere in the deep aesthetically pleasing pits of Pinterest where I stumbled upon a vintage greeting … Continue reading Sewing a Vintage Valentine’s Day Greeting Card Dress

My Birthday Weekend 2021

February 8, 2021February 7, 2021Leave a comment

If you know me well, I'm not a huge birthday person. I don't really know why but I actively try to avoid reminding anyone it's my birthday and try to keep it all very low key and quiet. I see people announce it's their birthday month, week, weekend all the time and I'm normally super … Continue reading My Birthday Weekend 2021

It's almost Valentines and love is certainly in the air. Valentines is not always about romantic love so I often celebrate with my friends and go out on many mini-dates during this time. I love getting ready for cute dates with either my hubby or my friends and it gives me a chance to wear … Continue reading How to Make a Heart Shaped Beret – 2 ways

Much like building a sturdy home, wearing vintage is all about the foundations you lay down. Foundation garments can really make or break an outfit and help you achieve that perfect vintage aesthetic and look. When wearing vintage clothing, the fit is of utmost importance to ensure the clothing lays perfectly on the body and … Continue reading Jade and Jolie Corset Review from Glamorous Corsets

What a lovely sunny Saturday it was 💚
It's the long weekend! It's a quiet one for me with only some housework, a catch up with friends and a shoot. It's a pretty exciting shoot but it's all secret squirrel business for now. I can't wait!
The best part about summer is discovering new wonderful places to have adventures. One quiet Wednesday we drove into the hills and found an isolated swimming hole surrounded by beautiful bushland. The water was so calm, clear and cool. It's always such a precious thing to be out and deep in the heart of the beautiful outdoors. As much as I love the beach and the pool, a secret fresh water swimming hole in the mountains is hard to beat.
Today somehow felt like Monday all over again. I was productive for a few hours but then, you know, migraine.
Summertime; sunshine, straw hats and peaches. I went on a cute peach picking adventure a little while ago in preparation of today's blog and video release. Link in bio 🍑
And just like that, the weekend is over. I spent mine with a migraine but it's just made me more determined to have a productive week.
After two days of migraines, it's time to just unwind, have a shower and go to bed early for once.
I feel very blessed that every morning and ever night this fluffy baby comes up for snuggles and cuddles.
I know one day I'll look back and think, "remember when we had to wear masks? Wild times!".
Although we only had to wear masks for two weeks, it was still a chance to get overdressed and be as glamorous as possible. I had just finished sewing this dress when we entered lockdown so whipping up a matching mask wasn't a big task. This is my first attempt at the Gertie Butterick b6380 pattern in @gertie18 fabric. I'm pretty happy with it but I think next time I might adjust the bust a bit more.
