It’s no secret that Sarsparilly is one of my favourite Aussie brands for many reasons; the quality of the clothing is always top notch, the unique style and vibe of the items themselves and of course, the amazing owner behind the brand. A little while ago, Sarsparilly collaborated with everyone favourite colourful teddies, Care Bears and I’m finally getting around to showing you my favourite pieces from their collection. This collection features several items with a variety of classic Care Bears images with everyones favourite characters. Now I didn’t really grow up with Care Bears but I do have friends who did and they have willingly shared their love for the bears. It’s through their enthusiasm that I’ve formed my own love of the Care Bears and I’m very slowly embracing them. This collection came at the perfect time to share and explore that love and I’m very excited to show you my favourite items.

The first item I want to share is the Cloud Car Cruising Dress. Make a wish and dream a little as you voyage among the stars in your very own Cloudcar Cruising dress. Featuring a sleepy Bedtime Bear as he travels the skies in a sweet little cloud convertible, he is followed closely by all of his star friends. And don’t worry: balanced among the stars, you can never fall. Cloud Car Cruising is part of Sarsparilly’s first collaboration with the Care Bears, combining fun and nostalgia with a retro silhouette and modern style. The dress itself is made from a soft cotton sateen fabric with a light sheen and features a working belt and pockets to hold all of your dreams and wishes (and your phone and keys). Due to the elastane (stretch) in this dress you may need to size down for a fitted look.

To complete the look I pulled out a lot of light blue tones to compliment the dress. I added blue by wearing my beret with matching Bedtime Bear pin from Erstwilder attached and some white glitter cloud earrings from Erstwilder as well. To add a little more fun to the outfit I added Heart Bangle in mint, baby pink and white. Although they are not pictured, I am also wearing Charlie Stone shoes.

The next two items are the Love and Sunshine top and with Star Shower skirt. Let’s start with the Love and Sunshine top; Life is joy! Cheer Bear sits in her garden, a huge smile on her face alongside a butterfly friend. Full of exuberance and delight, Cheer Bear matches the style of this fun top perfectly, creating an ultra cute look especially when worn with the matching Love and Sunshine Shorts. It can also be paired wonderfully with a favourite essential or even our Star Shower Skirt for that max amount of Care Bear coverage. This top is Cheer Bear all over as she greets the world: with love, here I am. The Love and Sunshine top is cut in a peasant style featuring a gathered bust, cute pink bow detail on the front, gathered puff cap sleeves and a side zip. I wore the size small and found it very roomy There is plenty of space in the bust and I didn’t feel it was too tight or cramped in there plus there was enough room in the waist as well. This top can be paired with any form of bottom coverings and I’m looking forward to pairing them with some cute pink shorts come summer time. Note to self: get some cute pink summer shorts. The cute little detailed bow at the front of the top adds just a touch of sweetness to the top bit I think mine was slightly off centre which I didn’t mind, I’ll just move it across a little later. The top is an off white shade with a repeating pattern featuring Cheer Bear; it has a subtle watercolour look about it and I think it’s subtle enough to be worn for many occasions.

My chosen bottom covering in this outfit is the Star Shower skirt. This skirt, from one rainbow to another, a Care Bear to suit every mood. Are you a cosy Bedtime Bear? A party (and cake) loving Birthday Bear? Maybe you’re someone’s lucky charm just like Good Luck Bear. Whatever your personality or however you feel today, the Star Shower Skirt features a bear just for you, no matter who you are. In Care Bear country there is room for everyone. I’ve always loved a good border print so this skirt was an absolute ‘yes’ when I first saw it. The fact that so many characters are featured on this skirt make it easy to mix with multiple colours and I would recommend it with the Dorothy knit top in any colour. By adding a pop of colour to the top you can really highlight your favourite Care Bear. This also goes for petticoat colours and of course, accessories. I accessorised this outfit with Sarsparilly bangles including the Wide Glitter bangle in light blue and light pink and the medium glitter bangle in silver. I paired this dress with baby pink Peggy necklace and the belt from the car cloud cruising dress. To finish the look I added a light pink beret and some Grumy Bear Cloud earrings from Erstwilder. Although they are not pictured, I am also wearing Charlie Stone shoes.

It was so difficult to choose my favourite pieces from this collection and there are so many more pieces in the collection itself including another dress and shorts. All the pieces from this collection are adorable and really add a little extra joy and happiness to your day. Whilst wearing the second outfit I went for a little walk and I passed a young girl, as soon as I walked by she screamed out “mummy look at that girl!” and I’m assuming her mother just continued conversing with her friend because the child proceeded to scream (and I mean … SCREAM) that sentence on repeat until I eventually rounded the corner. If little girls think it’s awesome, them it most likely is.
