Lipstick & Chrome x Johanna Parker Halloween Brooch Review 2022

It wouldn’t be Halloween without a brooch review so this year, we will be taking a look at the newest Lipstick & Chrome x Johanna Parker halloween brooch collection. This collection features some familiar faces and new colour ways of previously released popular designs. Designed by Johanna Parker who is known for her heavily vintage inspired artwork and creations, this collection is perfect for retro halloween and spooky lovers all over the world. The 2022 collection features six designs including 5 brooches and one pair of earrings; the entire collection can be purchased as a set or individually and is currently on sale at one of my favourite online brooch and knick knack vendors, Kinks and Quirks.

Back for another spooky season, Lolligagger is one of Johanna Parker’s most iconic characters and you’ll see him appear in a few of her collections. This sneaky black cat is ready to give you both tricks and treats this Halloween. With a sparkling black glitter resin body and cute purple accessories, Lolligagger is going to be your best friend this fall. Lolligagger is approximately 2.5″ tall and made with resin my favourite being his glittery body and swirly shimmer orange pumpkin. This cheeky kitty brooch really makes the heart sing as it has the perfect balance of cuteness from the pumpkin and the spookiness of black cats.

The 2022 halloween collection from Lipstick and Chrome X Johanna Parker has a rather sweet and cute mini brooch in addition to it’s regular sized brooches. Little Batty can be purchased as either a scatter pin or a hair clip to add that something little extra to your look which makes it an exciting piece. Little Batty is approximately 1.5″ wide and made mostly with a black glitter resin for the body. All the details are painted on and the size of this mini brooch makes it perfect for pairing with other pieces from this collection, as a pendant on a necklace or if you get two, as collar-clips.

Stack O’Jacks is another amazing Johanna Parker x Lipstick & Chrome collaboration for Halloween. Jack and his pals have teamed up to make the cutest Halloween adornment for all your spooky outfits this fall. These resins match Lipstick and Chrome’s first pumpkin release with Johanna Parker – Bat on Jack – and would make them the cutest grouping ever! Personally, I love anything with a pumpkin motif so having three super adorable stacked pumpkins just makes me ever so happy. Stack O’Jacks is approximately 3″ tall and made with resin.

Frankenstomp, or ‘Frankie’ is another amazing Johanna Parker x Lipstick & Chrome collaboration for this years Halloween collection. Ready for a night out on the town with his goody bag for treats, Frankie is a perfect complement to any Halloween outfit or to be doubled up with Broomhilda. I personally love all the little details that make up this brooch and all the unique types of resin used to make up this little cutie. His facial expression brings me joy and I will wear him all the time now. Frankenstomp is approximately 3″ tall and made with resin.

A total recolouring of the popular Broomhilda design from 2020, this newly reimagined Broomhilda is flying high with her marbled purple dress and coordinating green tights. The perfect companion brooch to Frankie, Broomhilda is the cutest witch there ever was and is ready to make your outfit magical. Broomhilda has the sweetest expression and I love te resin used on her dress and sparkly hat. I think next year, I will dress up as Broomhilda. Broomhilda is approximately 3″ long and made with resin.

To complete the collection, Lipstick and Chrome designed the Retro Diamond dangles as part of their Johanna Parker x Lipstick & Chrome Halloween 2022 collection. Featuring nickel free studs, these mod-inspired earrings are a lovely marbled purple resin with orange hand painted details. Diamond measures 1″ across and hangs 2″. Their resin matches that used within the collection so they can be the perfect pairing with any brooch or as a statement piece on their own.

This collection is absolutely fabulous and I can’t wait to see more and more people wearing their pieces. It’s difficult for me to choose a favourite but I think it would have to be between the Stack O’Jack’s because I can’t resist a good pumpkin brooch or the Batty Scatty as he can be worn with any of other brooches from the collection. If you haven’t had a chance to look into Kinks and Quirks, they sell a fantastic range of jewellery, homewares and gifts all with a retro feel. I have quite a few pieces, especially those designed by Johanna Parker, all over my house and can vouch for their quality and customer service. Lipstick and Chrome have really outdone themselves with this years Halloween collection and I love seeing all the new and reimagined pieces. If you have a minute, check out all the other fabulous brooches by Lipstick and Chrome as there is something wonderful for each holiday on their site.
