Now that the dust has settled on another year for Pinup Doll Australia All-Stars, I thought that it's about time I share my experience and discuss the pageant from my perspective.Β Last time I participated in Pinup Doll Australia, I blogged about the process and turned it into three parts, part 1, part 2 and part … Continue reading Pinup Doll Australia All-Stars 2020

Now that the dust has settled on Pinup Doll Australia 2018, it's time for my final installment in this mini blog series. Packing for Sydney was really stressful but I made sure that each outfit had it's own checklist and large ziplock bag so I could put all the accessories inside and not forget anything. … Continue reading Pinup Doll Australia – The Final Installment

I have an irrational fear of plugging in a vintage electronic and zapping myself across the room. It's never happened but one day ...
The Betty Draper dress is an iconic vintage dress with quite a following. I've wanted to sew my own for over 6 years and finally made decent version. It's not perfect and I'm keen for another go at it soon.
When your sewing hobby starts becoming a problem...
All my needle felting friends will appreciate this one 🀣 I really wanted to be good at needle felting but it's just not a skill I possess. What's a skill you wish you were good at?
Haters will say this is a filter but you clearly cant handle natural beauty. 🀣 All jokes aside, if filters make you feel better about yourself then use them. I sometimes use them to hide blemishes when my cystic acne flares up not gonna lie. Most of the time i dont bother because im learning to get comfortable sharing my skin as it is. Is it clear? Nope. Does it bother me? Yep. But does it matter at the end of the day what people say about my spots? NOPE! You do you boo!
I've already shared this outfit on my blog but I'm still in absolute love with it! This custom made top and shorts is from @turningheadsbycarolina who are an incredible woman-run small business specialising in tropic vintage outfits πŸ’š Everything is made by hand custom to you and is fantastic quality. This outfit has my heart πŸ’š Go check out her things and show her some love ❀️ Full review on this set in my bio link.
Just incase you needed to hear this message πŸ’›
Day dreaming of fields of gold πŸ’› can't wait to come back here, hopefully sometime this year but who knows!
I can find true vintage sewing patterns a bit of a challenge but McCalls 5142 was a dream to sew. I got this pattern from @thevintagepatternshop and used fabric from @minervadotcom which I've had in my stash for a few years.
Probably my favourite dress that I've made this year. I'm still obsessed with this cute retro floral fabric from @spotlightstores and now I need more dresses with collars and sleeves.
