Erstwilder All Wrapped Up Collection Review

It’s almost Christmas and nothing reminded me more of that fact than Erstwilder releasing their new Christmas collection! Christmas can be such a fun way to end the year and for us pinup girls, the outfit ideas are endless. Much like my ‘Witchy Wednesday’ series for Halloween, I am hoping to create a weekly series of vintage festivities to share with you all. I’m stuck on names so let me know if you have any ideas! Anywho, the Erstwilder Christmas collection sparked a sense of fun and excitement in me and as I looked at all the amazing options for the season, I could not wait to see them in real life. There are so many amazing pieces and most of which can be worn year round which I plan to do. But lets look at my favourites close up!

The Night Before Pink-Mas brooch stood out to me straight away because I have a pink Christmas tree which I absolutely adore! I normally decorate it with all my Disney ornaments but I’m thinking that this year I’ll maybe give it a more vintage look. But before I get too distracted with festive plans, this brooch is ridiculously beautiful! It has a base of light pink sparkly acrylic with all the details added with silver and white tones. This brooch is very subtle and perhaps I didn’t choose the best dress to wear it with but I just loved how unique and vintage it was. You always get green christmas tree’s done into jewellery so I’m so happy that I can finally get a pink tree to match my own pink tree! Oh happy days!

Ok, how could I resist this cute little guy! The Wrapped Up in Love Kitten brooch reminded me so much of Lady and the Tramp where lady pops out of the Christmas box with a big ribbon (did you know, that was inspired by Walt Disney’s real life where he surprised his wife with a new puppy in the same way? Cute huh?!). So I used to have a white Chinchilla kitty who I adored and this brooch very much reminded me of her. She is mainly made out of a beautiful white acrylic with a sparkly red bow. I particularly like the details painted in, especially her eyelashes because of course she’s a fancy kitty. This brooch is super cute and I hope others love her as much as I loved her. I think you could definitely wear this one all year round.

There will always be something rather charming about Coo-coo clocks and I have seen many of my European friends households have them in their houses so I’ve always had a soft spot for them. The Past Midnight brooch is very very sweet in it’s simple and elegant design. Once again, the pastel tones used just make it a little bit more cute and this particular recolouring is right up my alley. I am a big fan of the glitter heart in the centre and especially in love with the danglig weights at the bottom. There’s something rather lovely about such a brooch having movement which brings it closer to it’s real life inpiration.

And leaving my absolute favourite to last is this little guy, the Squirrelled Away Brooch. Oh my giddy aunt, he is adorable! Look at his little face and his adorable little acorn!! Ok, so not getting too far ahead of myself, this brooch actually has a lot of detail; I’m a particular fan of the like cream resin pattern used for the squirrels body but also have to point out how lovely the darker brown tones are for the inner tail and acorn detailing. I’m guessing that every piece will have resin variations making it unique to the owner which is also rather special. This brooch is the largest of all the ones I received but I think he is definitely amazing and should be snapped up very quickly. I think you could definitely wear him the most all year round and especially for those already surrounded by autumnal tones already, he would be perfect!
