I’ve barely brushed off the glitter since I’ve seen Dita Von Teese in her new tour, Glamonatrix and oh my gosh it was so sparkly. When I went to see the show, I absolutely had to wear my glitter lips and by golly did Instagram demand to know how it was done!
Easy, I’ve filmed a simple tutorial for you to tell you exactly how I achieve this look. Now, these lips are also known as “Show-girl lips” and more recently referred to as “Dita Lips”. In fact, Dita was wearing glitter lips on the night so extra points for matchy-matchy.

What You Need:
-Liquid lipstick in red colour. I used Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in Outlaw
-A sticky Lip Gloss – I use Dior Lip Maximizer Sample
-Red craft glitter – cosmetic grade is best
-Lip brush
-Mirror

What to do:
-Apply your red liquid lipstick and let it dry
-Put some lip gloss onto the back of your hand, then using your lip brush, apply to gloss to your lips
-Using your finger, dab on some craft glitter and then add it to your lips. Cover your entire lips with the glitter.
-Wipe off any glitter that is loose and you’re done!

Tips:
-Invest in a good quality cosmetic glitter as you’re bound to ingest some whilst wearing this style of lips. Do not use craft glitter on your eyes!
-To make your lips last, try to avoid eating and only drink with a straw.
-The lips are quite comfortable despite you feeling bit’s of glitter inside your mouth at random times. The lips feel like wearing dry lipstick.
