“Believe there is a great power silently working all things for good, behave yourself and never mind the rest.” – Beatrix Potter
When I first found out that Erstwilder was re-releasing the Peter Rabbit/Beatrix Potter collection, I did a little excited squeak at my computer and then a happy dance. Growing up, I loved the stories from Beatrix Potter and all the lovely adventures her beloved creatures went on; I read all the stories, I watched the tv show, I’ve visited the Beatrix Potter Centre in the Lake District of the UK (they have the greatest carrot cake you’ll ever eat! seriously add it to your bucket list right now!) and I even had a copy of the Peter Rabbit ballet on VHS (showing my age haha) so to say this franchise is near and dear to my heart is a bit of an understatement. Now Erstwilder has released a Beatrix Potter collection before and it sold out in a flash! I, unfortunately, I was on a long-distance plane trip so by the time I landed, got to my hotel and set up wifi everything was gone. Many tears were shed (I was also pretty tired so don’t judge me too hard for having a cry).
No tears today! Today we celebrate another chance to grab our favorite characters encased in beautiful resin from Erstwilder and we can wear them as much as we like! HURRAH! An exciting addition to this collection is the introduction of earrings and scarves. So below, I share some of my favourite items from the collection including three scarves, three pairs of earrings and of course, a Peter Rabbit brooch. For those wondering, I made my own dress out of Peter Rabbit fabric I found at Spotlight and I used Butterick pattern B5748.

The Peter and Friends Large Neck scarf is such a charming thing to own! The pattern consists of images of Peter along with all of his friends as well as some cute little leaves scattered throughout out. This lightweight neck scarf is made from 100% Polyester, with a velvet chiffon feel. It’s super adorable and can be worn in many different ways; I think if my Bupcha (grandmother) was still alive, I’d gift her this scarf as she loved having something wrapped around her shoulders and it’s a really fun colour. In these images, you can also glimpse the new bunny essential earrings in the blue resin. For those that haven’t tried the Erstwilder earrings before, they are very comfortable and don’t make my earlobes swell up and get red and yuk.

I am so beyond extatic to finally get my paws on this little guy in brooch form! The original release had a lighter blue resin for Peters Jacket but I love this deeper blue equally. He is a great size and with Easter coming up very soon, he can be the perfect edition to any Easter outfit. Peter is so unbelievably cute and to all that give him a new home, you will not be disappointed!

Oh Jemima Puddle-duck, how I love you and your ridiculously cute bonnet. This neck scarf is a perfect size for a cute neckerchief look, a head wrap or a head turban (because the scarf is made from Polyester, make sure you secure the back of the scarf with bobby pins if you want to tie it onto your head). With a scarf of this size, you can also tie it around your wrist as a makeshift bracelet or around the handle of your handbag. The Essential Pink Bunny Dangle Earrings are absolutely adorable! They are the perfect size for their shape and I love this soft pink resin. Kudo’s to Erstwilder for matching all the resins and scarf colours together so you can go matchy-matchy but also mix and match. I can see this collection being really easy to style and the colours have that lovely pastel feel which is perfect for Easter.

Last but not least, we have the Peter Rabbit neck scarf and the Essential White Bunny Dangle Earrings. Just like the other neck scarf, this one is just as soft, ligth and stunning. The pattern features a scattering of Peter Rabbit himself along with a delicious little carrot. The cream background makes it easy to incorportae into lots of different colour combinations and I’m secretly glad it’s not a white background as it may have been too harsh. Once again, this scarf is easy to style and tie in different ways including around the head and neck (it makes me feel connected to my European roots to wear it this way) or just as a lovely scarf. This will be cute in winter for anyone who works with children such as a teacher or even a librarian.
The Essential White Bunny Dangle Earrings are just as cute as the pink ones and I’m so glad to have gotten these pastel stades as they just go with everything. They are cute, comfortable and don’t irritate my earrings like other brands I’ve tried.
Overall, this is an adorable collection and a must for any Peter Rabbit fan. I can see these being beautiful gifts for loved ones and I wish I could gift it to my Bupcha (if you want me to gift it to your grandma I will but I will demand pictures of her cuteness in return!!) I can see myself wearing little Peter quite oftern and especially as Easter starts to roll around. For years I have worn Beatric Potter wooden brooches that I found at a market so I’m glad that I can now upgrade to these gorgeous resin ones (some of the wooden ones were getting a bit faded and worn out). I really hope you all love this collection as much as I did. Speaking of Easter, I will be having a blog or two for easter coming out early April! Keep your eyes and ears ready for that one but until then, I’m sending you all so much love!
