February 16, 2021February 16, 2021Leave a comment

Erstwilder release day's are always special but if you've been following their more recent releases, you would have noticed that some brooches have gotten a little bit small. No, the designs haven't shrunk in the wash and in fact, it's a brand new thing that Erstwilder is trying. Mini brooches are a great little (pardon … Continue reading Erstwilder Mini Cats Collection

Now that the dust has settled on another year for Pinup Doll Australia All-Stars, I thought that it's about time I share my experience and discuss the pageant from my perspective. Last time I participated in Pinup Doll Australia, I blogged about the process and turned it into three parts, part 1, part 2 and part … Continue reading Pinup Doll Australia All-Stars 2020

I'm very lucky in that my job allows me to travel around the country so I get to meet many wonderful pinups within the community, go to lots of vintage events and even participate in pageants. I was very excited when I was lucky enough to be in Brisbane around the time of this years … Continue reading Miss Vintage Kiss 2019

Now that the dust has settled on Pinup Doll Australia 2018, it's time for my final installment in this mini blog series. Packing for Sydney was really stressful but I made sure that each outfit had it's own checklist and large ziplock bag so I could put all the accessories inside and not forget anything. … Continue reading Pinup Doll Australia – The Final Installment

What a lovely sunny Saturday it was 💚
It's the long weekend! It's a quiet one for me with only some housework, a catch up with friends and a shoot. It's a pretty exciting shoot but it's all secret squirrel business for now. I can't wait!
The best part about summer is discovering new wonderful places to have adventures. One quiet Wednesday we drove into the hills and found an isolated swimming hole surrounded by beautiful bushland. The water was so calm, clear and cool. It's always such a precious thing to be out and deep in the heart of the beautiful outdoors. As much as I love the beach and the pool, a secret fresh water swimming hole in the mountains is hard to beat.
Today somehow felt like Monday all over again. I was productive for a few hours but then, you know, migraine.
Summertime; sunshine, straw hats and peaches. I went on a cute peach picking adventure a little while ago in preparation of today's blog and video release. Link in bio 🍑
And just like that, the weekend is over. I spent mine with a migraine but it's just made me more determined to have a productive week.
After two days of migraines, it's time to just unwind, have a shower and go to bed early for once.
I feel very blessed that every morning and ever night this fluffy baby comes up for snuggles and cuddles.
I know one day I'll look back and think, "remember when we had to wear masks? Wild times!".
Although we only had to wear masks for two weeks, it was still a chance to get overdressed and be as glamorous as possible. I had just finished sewing this dress when we entered lockdown so whipping up a matching mask wasn't a big task. This is my first attempt at the Gertie Butterick b6380 pattern in @gertie18 fabric. I'm pretty happy with it but I think next time I might adjust the bust a bit more.
