Everyone loves a good mystery so when I heard about Redbird Vintage Box, I was really keen to give it ago. Redbird Vintage Box is a monthly subscription company run by two vintage loving sisters and at the moment are offering two monthly subscriptions (or one-time order): the smaller Marie box featuring four vintage accessories and the Lorene box featuring six vintage accessories and/or clothing pieces. The company only takes on a small number of subscriptions per month and places normally fill up quite quickly (with a waiting list becoming necessary for some months). The reason behind such a limited system is to make the boxes as personal as possible. As vintage and style is such a personal thing, the company makes you fill out a thorough questionnaire to determine your preferences, style, and your peculiar quirks. This week, I finally got to open my May Marie box.
Phew, what a ride that was! I am really pleasantly surprised at what I received in my May Redbird box. I received a total of 8 pieces; 2 pairs of earrings, 2 necklaces, 3 brooches, and a vintage purse. I loved all the items and will definitely be wearing them in the future but my favourites have to be the coral rose earrings, the little vintage purse, and the diamonte dangle brooch. I think Redbird was right on the money when it came to finding my style and really tried hard to make the box personal. I am subscribed for next month so I’m hoping that these unboxings will become a common occurrence and perhaps they will even get their own special day of the month.
I’d also like to apologize for how quiet my blog has been this month. I got that horrible flu that has been going around and I was sick in bed for several weeks with a high fever and thought I had the plague. It wasn’t fun and it stopped me being able to work but I’m hoping to catch up on everything really fast and get back to my regular posting schedule. Thank you for all your kindness and support whilst I’ve been sick!
