If you know me or have been around the blog for a while you might already know that I have dehydrated skin which can be an absolute pain to deal with. Having acne as a kid and being put on Roaccutane which is a highly aggressive way to deal with acne, as an adult, my skin is now super dry (and still gets breakouts). When it comes to staying on top of my dry skin, a super moisturizing serum is a must and I’ve tried out many different types over the years (see this post as an example) and today I wanted to test out a new serum. I was very kindly sent the Torriden Dive-In Serum from YesStyle to review and after using it for over 2 months, I am happy to share my thoughts with you.

My skin type: very dry especially on the forehead with occasional dry patches on the cheeks. Very red cheeks from skin sensitivities and large visible pores from years of acne. Cystic acne is triggered by hormones around the chin area that leaves hyperpigmentation and scars after the cyst is gone.

What makes the Torriden Dive-In Serum interesting, is that it delivers an instant and intense moisture treatment to the skin thanks to its 5D multi-hyaluronic acid complex. It is a hypoallergenic product that helps to alleviate dryness and claims to be absorbed into the skin within 3 seconds and it’s lightweight texture provides a deep moisturising effect but without stickiness and leaves a beautiful, dewy finish. It also soothes and balances the skin’s optimal oil-water levels with ceramide NP. This serum can be used daily even when in need of intense hydration and will give you a “lit-from within glow”.

Thoughts:
After using the Torriden Dive-In serum for around 2 months, I can really say that I see a huge difference in my skin. Being summer, my skin really struggles in the dry heat of WA so this serum really helped. I mainly used this serum in the evening after cleansing my face and applying a few drops whilst my skin is still damp. The serum instantly sinks into the skin, doesn’t leave white streaks and best of all, leaves no sticky residue. With the serum sinking in so quickly, this serum is great for layering if you need extra hydration but personally, I just added a moisturizer over the top and that was enough. After the second week of use, I noticed the serum was really helping combat some of my regular dry patches (mainly my forehead) and it made my skin look brighter, plumper and smoother.

The consistency of this formula is not overly watery but not overly thick which means it glides over the skin and I only need 4 or 5 drops which is plenty. The formula doesn’t pill or leave a layer on the skin which when another product is applied on top, reacts badly. I love how this serum has 5 different types of hyaluronic acid meaning it penetrates into all the different layers of skin. This serum has some incredible ingredients which make it better than some of the other serums I’ve tried. The serum has D-panthenol, allantoin and madecassoside help to soothe irritation, malachite extract unclogs pores and clarifies the skin for a luminous glow (and it also gives this serum its lovely blue colour).
One thing I really liked about this serum is the ethics behind the company; the product is vegan and not tested on animals. The bottle itself is also made out of recycled materials with a peel-off label which means you can reuse it later. All the packaging is also sustainable and the ink for printing is made from soy all of which make it a wonderful brand to support.

I would definitely recommend this serum if you are in need of a good moisturizing serum. Even if you don’t have very dry skin like mine, this serum can be used on all skin types and the light yet potency of this formula make it absolutely wonderful in any skin care routine. These photos were taken on a recent trip to Singapore in the very luxurious bathroom of the Ritz Carlton. Special thanks to my travel buddy Laura for taking these snaps on our last day of travel. I can’t wait to share our adventures in another post coming soon.
