That’s a Wrap – The Diamond Bombshell

January 1, 2021January 3, 2021Leave a comment

Today is the first day of 2021 and I thought I'd kick it off with a look back at one of my favourite photoshoots from (I'm actually embarrassed by how long ago this was) way back in 2019. Yes, it's now 2021 and I'm only JUST sharing these images but honestly, with so much going … Continue reading That’s a Wrap – The Diamond Bombshell

That’s a Wrap – Fields of Gold

April 25, 2020April 25, 20202 Comments

A little while ago, I wrote up a post all about how to organise a photoshoot whilst travelling (link here) and thought it would be fun to share just what such collaborations can create. When I knew I was going to be travelling to Poland last year, I really wanted to grab the opportunity to … Continue reading That’s a Wrap – Fields of Gold

Pinup with a Passport – Travelling in Bali

January 31, 2020January 30, 2020Leave a comment

So most people buy a chocolate bar or a soft drink as an impulse purchase, but I ended up buying a quick holiday getaway to Bali...is that normal? At the very end of last year, after a quick visit to the doctors, I impulse bought a holiday. Now I have never been to … Continue reading Pinup with a Passport – Travelling in Bali

Monthly Outfit Recap – October

November 5, 2019November 5, 2019Leave a comment

Spooky season is done and dusted for another year and as I start excitedly humming Christmas songs in my head, now is the time to look back on all the wonderful outfits that filled October. It was a very busy month and ended on a high at Chromefest watching and helping out Pinup Doll Australia … Continue reading Monthly Outfit Recap – October

Monthly Outfit Recap – July

August 16, 2019August 13, 2019Leave a comment

After a very much needed break, it's about time I catch up on last months outfits. As most of you already know, I was in Europe spending some quality time with my family. This was also time for me to take a break and have some self-care time. I didn't get dressed up every day … Continue reading Monthly Outfit Recap – July

Sometimes it's scary how well Google knows you and what you like to buy. At the end of last year I kept getting recommended this Acorn Rattan bag from @olliella and you bet ya bottom I loved it. Google knew I would want a bag designed for children for myself. Ah, well played Google, well played.
This weekend was all about recovering from my recent operation but it gave me time to start planning my next vintage ghibli sewing project.
When dressing in the vintage style, many of us feel the pressure to style ourselves in a way to suit. Red lips and curled hair become iconic for vintage styling but for people like me, styling my hair can be a bit of a challenge.
When I was a kid, I went through a pretty strong Hello Kitty phase. My entire desk was covered in every piece of Hello Kitty stationery I could get my hands on, much of which I still have today. The new collection from @erstwilder with @hellokitty made my nine year old self squeal with joy! Oh and of course @miss.vintage.orchid is also Hello Kitty obsessed!

This little bunny wants to wish you all a wonderful and safe Easter.
When you watch one too many 80s films right before an Easter shoot. Bette Midler would be proud 💚
Be honest, how often do you wash your foam/sponge curlers? I try to wash mine at least once a month as I use multiple times a week. They can start to look a bit gross and sad if you don't keep them clean.
Have you ever procrastinated so hard that years go by and you still haven't done the thing you set out to do? Well, that happened to me; for over two and a half years I have wanted to create a mini-series on my blog (and now YouTube) where I take my favourite Studio Ghibli films and characters and turn them into a vintage version of themselves.
Self care is the best kind of care 💙
