Pretty in Pink Dress – Kova Kiss Review

Some things can just truly make your day; a delicious cup of tea in the morning, fresh flowers and a brand new pink dress. I was recently contacted by the brand Kova Kiss and asked if I would like to review one of their dresses and after peeping at their website, it was an absolute no brainer! Of course! Kova Kiss is a new, feminine fashion house from Atlanta, Georgia that creates sustainable and high-quality clothing (with free shipping worldwide!). They draw elements of vintage styling to create beautiful garments and have a wonderful selection of products on their website. I was lucky enough to be sent the ‘Pretty in Pink’ dress.

Video Review and First Impressions:

I think I fell in love with this dress the minute I saw it. The Pretty in Pink dress is short mod inspired pink dress with an outer layer is of 100% cotton and lining of shiny polyester. The dress sits at thigh level, fitted in the bodice, no sleeved with a super cute bow on the front bodice. The dress has a concealed zipper in the center back and does not have pockets. I received a size 6 and was happy that it was such a snug fit; at first, I thought it wasn’t going to fit but after the awkward booty wiggle dance I was in! I was a tiny bit self-conscious because I was having an Endo flare up and the dress showed a bit of my pouty tummy but to be honest, the dress was so cute I forgot how bloated I was.

I really enjoyed wearing this dress. It didn’t ride up whilst walking, it was comfortable to wear all day despite the humidity and I received heaps of compliments on it. I can imagine this being a cute summer dress staple in many wardrobes and I am looking forward to wearing it throughout the remainder of Perth’s warm days. I really can’t think of any negatives with this dress; it even arrived beautifully packaged in a dust bag and gift wrapped in pink tissue paper. From the day it was shipped, the dress arrived just on 10 days which is super quick coming from the US. Correspondence with Kova Kiss was a sheer delight; they are polite, sweet and just a beautiful business who care about their customers and want to create beautiful sustainable fashion.

This dress was definitely a high-quality garment. It was designed, made and tailored perfectly so it sat just right on the body. The fabric quality was impeccable and the dress had a nice thickness to it and didn’t go sheer on the booty or bust. The dress retails for $200 and I believe it is currently on sale (along with few other pieces) so if you’d like to get one for yourself make sure you hurry. The dress is available in sizes US 0-12. The Pretty in Pink dress is definitely worth the price tag; you can see the quality in the workmanship it took to craft and the quality of the materials used. As this is a smaller company, I would definitely encourage all vintage and retro lovers to check out Kova Kiss and support this amazing small business. I’d like to thank Kova Kiss for supplying me with this dress. It was a delight to wear and review.
