March 4, 2019February 28, 2019Leave a comment

And just like that, summer is officially over and it's really just whizzed by! Looking back on February, this month was a huge challenge for me as it involved some travel followed by a severe Endo flare up which ended up triggering my depression. Trying to take part in the 100 days of Vintage Challenge really … Continue reading Monthly Outfit Recap – February

K-Beauty – Laneige Fresh Calming Toner Review

February 15, 2019February 15, 20191 Comment

After finishing my WonderPore toner which I had used for several years, I finally realized it was time for me to find a different toner. The WonderPore started out amazing but over the years as my skin changed, became too strong for my skin and the alcohol content started to cause my skin to dry … Continue reading K-Beauty – Laneige Fresh Calming Toner Review

Skin care is a serious business. As someone who has struggled with acne for many years, it's taken me a while to figure out my skin, what works, what doesn't, and how environmental factors affect my skin. One item that has been a huge help in my skincare routine are clay masks. Clay masks are … Continue reading Clay Masks; Tips, Tricks and My Top Favourites

Miss Memphis Vintage Pageant 2019

Last week, I was lucky enough to be in Sydney for the Everything Elvis Weekend at the Rooty Hill RSA. I thought I'd give the pinup pageant a go and really have some fun, make new friends and try something a little different on stage. Oh boy! What a day it turned out to be! … Continue reading Miss Memphis Vintage Pageant 2019

What a lovely sunny Saturday it was 💚
It's the long weekend! It's a quiet one for me with only some housework, a catch up with friends and a shoot. It's a pretty exciting shoot but it's all secret squirrel business for now. I can't wait!
The best part about summer is discovering new wonderful places to have adventures. One quiet Wednesday we drove into the hills and found an isolated swimming hole surrounded by beautiful bushland. The water was so calm, clear and cool. It's always such a precious thing to be out and deep in the heart of the beautiful outdoors. As much as I love the beach and the pool, a secret fresh water swimming hole in the mountains is hard to beat.
Today somehow felt like Monday all over again. I was productive for a few hours but then, you know, migraine.
Summertime; sunshine, straw hats and peaches. I went on a cute peach picking adventure a little while ago in preparation of today's blog and video release. Link in bio 🍑
And just like that, the weekend is over. I spent mine with a migraine but it's just made me more determined to have a productive week.
After two days of migraines, it's time to just unwind, have a shower and go to bed early for once.
I feel very blessed that every morning and ever night this fluffy baby comes up for snuggles and cuddles.
I know one day I'll look back and think, "remember when we had to wear masks? Wild times!".
Although we only had to wear masks for two weeks, it was still a chance to get overdressed and be as glamorous as possible. I had just finished sewing this dress when we entered lockdown so whipping up a matching mask wasn't a big task. This is my first attempt at the Gertie Butterick b6380 pattern in @gertie18 fabric. I'm pretty happy with it but I think next time I might adjust the bust a bit more.
